Patran Transmission Company Limited
TEECL was successful in bagging a concession from PFC Consulting Ltd for building a transmission Network at Patran, Punjab.

The concession has been awarded on Build, Own, Operate and Maintain (BOOM) basis for a period of 35 years.

The project is being developed through Patran Transmission Company Limited, s SPV 100% acquired by TEECL from PFC Consulting Ltd. The Rs 200 crore project will be completed by May 2016 and will have a debt to equity ratio of 75 : 25. Financial closure has already been achieved. SPV will have an average revenue of approximately Rs 30 Crores annually with an EBIDTA level of 95%. SPV will have an income flow of approximately Rs 1000 crore as transmission charges over the concession period.

The 400 KV Transmission System comprises of LILO of Both circuits of Patiala-Kaithal 400 kV Double Circuit triple snow bird Line art Patran (5 KM) and 400/220 kV Substation with 14 Bays at Patran, Punjab. The inter-state network will have a system capacity to evacuate 1200 MW of power.

This emerging business segment is attractive from a number of perspectives:
  The concession period is 35 years and this will translate into sustainable revenues spread over 35 years.
  The Company stands to derive EPC revenues of Rs 175 crores plus the O & M revenue of approximately Rs 2 crores annually.
  The Company can always divest (in full or part) should circumstances warrant.
  This represents further to our leap from a contractor (generally L-one) to respected partner, a milestone.
